I had the most romantic birthday getaway. My husband and I shacked up in a cabin at El Capitan Canyon just 20 miles North of Santa Barbara for the weekend.

The crispness of the air is noticeable compared to what we breathe in Los Angeles. The cabin had a king bed, a table for two, a small couch, a bath, and a fireplace that made it so warm and cozy. The best part of staying at the canyon was that there’s no distraction which gave us an opportunity to relax and heal through rest and lots of conversations. This trip brought us even closer together.

We enjoyed the silence, it’s amazing how it has it’s own sound. Outside our love shack is the faint sound of the creek. Oh the beauty of nature. Because it’s winter, most trees were in hibernation…but they are still so beautiful. The view from inside our cabin is breathtaking, we’re watching a live painting, the falling leaves, the branches dancing and swaying gracefully with the wind. I am grateful for being given the gift of sight.

Driving on the coast of Santa Barbara, we stopped on the side road to catch a glimpse of the roaring waves…<3 Love Love Love!
